Welcome back,. today we’re unlocking one of the most powerful partnerships inside your head: the prefrontal cortex (the CEO of your brain) and the anterior midcingulate cortex (the aMCC, your inner referee).
Here’s why this matters, Your PFC writes the vision. Your aMCC enforces the vision. And when they work together, nothing can stop you.
The CEO of Your Brain: Prefrontal Cortex (PFC)
Think of the PFC as your visionary leader. It’s the part of your brain that plans, sets goals, and imagines your future. When you say:
“I want to launch my business.”
“I want to get in shape.”
“I want to lead my family better.”
That’s your PFC doing the work drawing the map of your life.

The Referee: aMCC
But here’s the thing: a map without enforcement is just a dream. That’s where the aMCC comes in. It’s the referee between comfort and calling.
The aMCC steps in every time you feel conflict:
Do I keep working or scroll my phone?
Do I finish the chapter or quit early?
Do I push through the pain or give up?
Its job is to weigh the cost (effort, stress, sacrifice) against the reward (vision, destiny, legacy).

How They Work Together
Here’s the magic: PFC: “I want to build a coaching business.” aMCC: “Okay, but are you willing to put in the hours, the consistency, the discipline?”
If they’re aligned, you move. If they’re not, you stall.
My Real-Life Example
Think about when you sit down with your journal and write out your goals for the next year.
That’s not just a “wish list” that’s your visión.
Your PFC sets it: “I want to grow my business, get healthy, and take my family on vacation.”
Then your aMCC enforces it: “Okay, will you save money when it’s easier to spend? Will you wake up early to work out? Will you keep writing when no one’s clapping for you?”
If your visión is clear and the referee (aMCC) is aligned, you move forward. If not, you drift.

Spanish Word of the Day
Palabra: Visión (vee-SYON) → “Vision”
Sentence: Mi visión es clara.
→ “My vision is clear.”
Sound it out:
Mi → “mee”
vi → “vee”
sión → “syon” (like see-OWN, blended together)
So when you read it slowly: “Mee vee-SYON es CLARA.”
Bridge Exercise
Write down one vision your PFC has set (career, health, relationships).Write down the “hard thing” your aMCC needs to enforce today.
Say aloud in Spanish: “Mi visión guía mis decisiones.”

Leadership Takeaway
Great leaders don’t just dream. They enforce the dream. The vision is nothing without discipline. Your PFC maps the future. Your aMCC makes sure you walk it.

Affirmation (Identity Lock-In)
“My PFC sets the vision. My aMCC enforces the vision. Together, they make me unstoppable.”
