Delivered From Me part 2

by John Maurice

“Why am I here?”

That’s the question I found myself asking… again.
And then I realized something:
Every time I ask that question, what I’m really searching for is peace.

Not peace from the world.
Not peace from other people.
But peace within me.

Peace from my own thoughts.
My own stress.
My own expectations.
My own disappointments.

And to find that peace, I had to surrender.
I had to lay it all down—
My life.
My plans.
Even my will.
And give it back to the One who created me.

Because the truth is, when I try to carry the weight of figuring everything out on my own, I’m lifting a load I was never meant to bear.
And it gets heavy, y’all.
So heavy, it starts to press down on the best parts of who I am.

The kind part.
The loving part.
The purposeful part.
The part of me that was born for something greater.

But then, I made a choice.
I whispered a simple prayer:
“Lord, deliver me… from me.”

And here’s what I’ve learned:
If I live this life just chasing what I want, I’ll end up becoming someone I was never meant to be.
But when I live for the purpose I was created for?
That’s where peace finds me.
That’s where love breathes through me.
That’s where life gets good—
Not because it’s perfect,
But because it’s aligned.

The Fight Is Inside You, Not Around You

Let’s face it. Some days, We just get angry.
Frustrated.
I live my life on the narrow road—with kindness and purpose.
But sometimes, people take that for granted like they do all of us.
And what they fail to realize is this:
As good as I Am and we all try to be… We all have another side.
So people should be mindful of that.

Every day we have a challenge.
And Every day we have a choice.
If we’re not yielded to the One who created us, we end up living outside our true purpose.
And that, my friends, is a life lived in vain.

So I asked the Lord to strip me of me.
Deliver me from me.
Fill me with purpose.

Because if I don’t like we all should surrender that anger…
If we let it fester…
It’s going to be us making all the wrong decisions at all the wrong times
And that will lead us somewhere I was never meant to go.

I don’t want to live in my own selfish way anymore.
Because if I lead me, I might lead myself down the wrong road.
And I refuse to react foolishly to someone who’s not worth the energy.
I’d rather let God handle it.
And trust me, when He deals with them?
It’ll be far greater than anything I could’ve done. So I lead with my mind to think first and then compassion

So How Do We Let Go of Stress and Frustration?

How do we release the anger, the stress, the negative thoughts?
How do we shift the energy?
How do we turn hate into love, frustration into peace, fear into power

Here are 7 steps I live by.
And I hope they help you, to

1. Pause and Breathe.

Sounds simple. But it works.
When something happens that shakes you—pause.
Take a deep breath.
Count to ten if you need to.
You’re not reacting. You’re responding.
And you can’t respond clearly if you’re caught up in emotion.

2. Surrender the Outcome.

You can’t control how people act.
But you can control what you do next.
Let go of the need to win the argument.
Let go of the need to be right in someone else’s story.
File the paperwork. Make the call. Take the action you need to take.
But don’t carry the emotional baggage with it.

3. Shift Your Focus.

Whatever you focus on grows.
Focus on your purpose, not the pain.
Focus on what you’re building, not what’s tearing things down.
You can’t build anything if you’re staring at the wreckage.
Keep moving and Look forward

4. Speak Life Out Loud.

Your words are powerful.
Speak them with intention.
Tell yourself:

“I am at peace.”
“I am able to handle every situation.”
“I will remain focused.”
“I can make myself rich.”
“I am walking in my purpose.”

Say it even when you don’t feel it.
Especially when you don’t feel it.
Reprogram your mind.
Reprogram your mind.

To have something you’ve never had,
You’re going to have to do something
You’ve never done before.

Speak life. Make the change.

5. Do Something That Matters Right Now.

Take one small action toward your purpose today.
Write the paragraph.
Send the email.
Plan the event.

It’s the little things, done consistently, that lead to breakthroughs.
Don’t wait.
Do something now.

6. Protect Your Energy.

Limit your time on social media if it drains you.
Limit conversations that lead you nowhere.
You have work to do.
You have purpose to fulfill.

And you don’t need to waste energy explaining yourself to people who aren’t listening.
Save that energy for what matters.
Protect your peace.

7. Stay in Gratitude.

You’re alive.
You have breath.
And as long as you have breath, you have choice.
Don’t waste it.

Every day you wake up is another chance to live on purpose.
Don’t take that for granted.

Frustration Doesn’t Fix It.

Frustration doesn’t solve anything.
It won’t fix the problem.
It won’t change them.
And it sure won’t change you—unless you let it.

So let it go.
Handle your business.
Make a plan.
But don’t carry it with you.

Because when you choose what’s best for you,
You win.

It’s your time.

Like always, you know I believe in you.
And now that you’re working it o
Believing more.
Trusting more in yourself.
I know this for sure:

It’s only a matter of time until you and I are standing on the other side of our desired reality.
What a day that will be.
And what a world it will be.

When we all walk in our own power.
When we live in our own peace.
Because the decisions we make breathe life into our reality.

An abundant life is waiting for you—
Right now.
Inside of you.
Ready when you are.

Until next time,
Love always,
John Maurice
